Scott Sibley of the Richmond Queer League is spearheading the effort to get the walk here in Richmond. Sibley has managed volunteer support and setup for the DC walk for 12 years. He is calling for support from all members of the community and has setup an e-mail address at aidswalkrichmond@gmail.com. Any inquiries including giving support or sponsorship can be made to that address.
In the works are a 5k run, 3.5K walk and a small festival at the finish line – all to benefit the AIDS outreach community of metro Richmond.

I’m so happy to see someone taking the first step to get this event started.
To be honest I was trying to get info from the Charlotte folks so I could use of their ideas. I’m willing to help out and have friends who have had experience operating 5ks in the past.
