The initial feeling of being surround by some 150,000 other GLBT people is a humbling experience filled with the awe of camaraderie and joy of mutual respect and acceptance.  As the parade carried on, a mix of organizations, corporations with floats, and bandwagons of politicians marched through Dupont Circle.

Pride hawk.

New photos added to the pool also show up on the right side of our homepage at GayRVA.com.

Greetings from DC!

We got into Dupont Circle last night and it’s gay, gay, gay!  Rainbows galore.

Businesses along Dupont's nightlife corridor on 17th are decked with pride. The Futon store even has a nice display of ROYGBIV pillows in its window display.

Dupont’s full of great gay establishments like the Human Rights Campaign Store and Lambda Rising…

The store has a massive selection of pride merchandise, independent book titles, glbt themed stationary, magazines, and even a children's literature section.

Metro Weekly Features Richmond As Cost-Efficient Travel Destination

MetroWeeklyMetro Weekly, DC’s GLBT newsmagazine, just posted an article about Richmond being a convenient and cost-effective option for gay travelers.  The article features the Jefferson Hotel as the city’s primo lodging destination.  Regarding dining and nightlife, it makes mention of Sensi and Nacho Mama’s for eats and some of the normal spots like Babes, Godfrey’s, and Barcode for fun.

Taking Over Roanoke Tonight

Google Street View of The Park

Google Street View of The Park

Watch out.  We’re in Southwestern VA for a wedding today, then we’re heading to The Park for a night of dancing and club antics.  We hear it’s the only gay bar within a 100 mile radius and gets slam-packed with an eclectic mix from all over.  We got curious, so we pulled it up on Google Street View.  It appears to be in an industrial area, but those lovely green awnings add a welcoming touch.  Anywho, you can find anything noteworthy from our adventures tonight via Twitter.
